Easy Pesto Pasta – From Scratch!

A new family favorite is my homemade Pesto Pasta! I hope you try it and enjoy!


1/3 cup olive oil

3 cups of fresh basil leaves

3 cloves garlic, peeled

3 tablespoons pine nuts

1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan

1 (16 ounce) package of pasta – I used regular spaghetti

Kosher Salt and ground black pepper to taste


To make the pesto:

  1. Combine basil, garlic, pine nuts, and Parmesan in the bowl of a food processor; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. With the food processor running, add olive oil in a slow stream until blended.

To make the pasta:

  1. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling water until done. Not too hard. Not to soft. Drain.
  2. Put pasta in large bowl with pesto and stir.
